Günkut Gürşen was born in 1983 in Izmir, graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Business Administration in 2005.
Günkut Gürşen started his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 2005. In the first three years of his professional career, Günkut gained experience on International Accounting Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Capital Markets Board Principles and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP) in the financial audit department. After gaining this experience, Günkut worked in the Risk Management Consulting team at PwC for 6 years. Following his PwC experience, he worked as a Senior Manager in KPMG Turkey Risk Management Consulting team for 2 years.
After more than 10 years of experience, Günkut established his own consulting firm and is currently Managing Partner at Kontrast Consulting.
Günkut, who has realized projects with companies in many different sectors in Izmir and the Aegean Region, is currently the Chairperson of the Board of Directors at Ekoten Tekstil and an independent Board Member at two leading companies in their sectors.
With more than 15 years of experience in family business consultancy, institutionalization, internal audit, internal control and risk management, Günkut also has extensive experience in business process improvement, human resources consultancy, Turquality and government incentives, information technologies (IT) & ERP auditing.
